80 ball bingo is the all new bingo game. When 75 balls are too few, and 90 are too many, try this exciting bingo game.

One of the latest trends in bingo entertainment is 80 ball bingo. If that 75 ball game is just too short and the 90 ball game just too long, then take the middle road and play 80 ball bingo. This cutting edge form of the much loved game of bingo is just as easy to play as any other game of bingo, there are not huge tomes of rules so you learn the basics, play and enjoy!

When 80 ball bingo was first introduced it was called shutter board bingo because of the fact that little shutters were used to cover the numbers as they were called. It works much the same as this when playing online and the numbers are shaded in as they are called. The tickets are arranged with five rows and four columns, with each column being a different colour. The colours used are red, yellow, blue and silver.

The nice thing about playing 80 ball bingo is that there is a great compromise between the traditional 90 b all game and the more US preferred 75 ball game. 90 ball bingo also offers a wide variety of patterns that can be played, for instance the classic 'X', other letters, four corners, horizontal and vertical, amongst others. This is what adds variety to the game and makes it interesting. Games also take the form of coveralls, or the classic full house game.

Essentially the game is played in the same way, the numbers are called randomly and the player marks them off. Both guaranteed and progressive jackpots can be played in the 80 version of bingo and it is gaining in popularity as it becomes more readily available at more and more online bingo sites.

What is so exciting in 80 Ball Bingo?

80 ball Bingo is more of a speed bingo game. 80 ball board consists of 16 squares 4 across and 4 down. 80 ball bingo has unique bingo cards. When playing 80 ball Bingo is slightly different from 75 ball bingo and allows for the extra five numbers to be added to the board. 80 ball Bingo is another great variation of the Bingo game and making the game of Bingo more exciting to play.

What's New In 80 Ball Bingo?

1. Bingo Cards

80 ball bingo is made special because of its unique bingo cards, or shutter boards, which are used in game play. As the numbers are called, players mark their numbers off by closing the slides to cover them. Online bingo players use similar bingo cards, or tickets, and when the numbers are called, the corresponding numbers are shaded on the online bingo tickets.

Each ticket is arranged in four rows and four columns, and each column is a different colour (red, yellow, blue, and silver).

2. 80 Ball Call Board

80 ball bingo shares a similar call board to that of its 75 ball bingo cousin, albeit with a few slight alterations! The 80 ball call board contains 5 rows of 16 numbers, for a total of 80 possible numbers. These numbers are then split into four groups of separate colors, at 20 number intervals (numbers 1-20 - red, numbers 21-40 yellow, numbers 41-59 blue, and 60-80 silver).

3. New Patterns

A nice compromise between its older siblings, 75 Ball Bingo and 90 Ball Bingo, 80 ball bingo also has an exciting variety of game patterns. Patterns may vary for 80 ball bingo, and usually include the classic 80 Full Card (similar to 75 Ball Bingo's Blackout or 90 Ball Bingo's Full House), but other patterns include Diagonal Bingo, Horizontal Bingo, Vertical Bingo, Blackout Bingo, Big X, Four Corners, and Centre Square.
