In terms of decorating, you want to stick to items that don’t require a lot of outlets (especially if you have young children constantly running around) and something you can potentially use for the next Eid. Tassels are always a winner, and they usually come in an a wide variety of colours. Hang tissue paper fans and lanterns on the walls in bright hues of pink and purple. Make an 'Eid Mubarak' banner to be displayed on the wall. Use fancy colorful dupattas as drapes. Cover dining table with a gold tablecloth and use plates and mason jars adorned with mehndi (henna) as centerpieces. Hang moon cutouts from the ceilings of your party hall. Spread colorful balloons all over the floor.
