Decorate the kitty party hall with the pictures of national animal, national flag, national bird etc. Let the tricolor prevail. Decorate the party hall with tricolors - Orange, White and Green. Place tiny flags all over the area or hang them in strings from the ceilings. Use lots of balloons in the same color. Draw a huge map of India on the floor and fill it with Rangoli or flowers. Hang posters of freedom fighters. To add a touch of green, you can also decorate with potted plants.

Use bold colors such as gold, red, blue and yellow in satin, silk or brocade fabric to cover chairs and walls. Add embellished accent pillows to couches, chairs and floors. Use gold accents in flatware and napkins or the tablecloth and table decorations. Elephants are a traditional Indian symbol; place elephant statues and pictures around the party area and on tables.
