Harry Potter has not lost its magic but continues to draw new fans and also excite the old ones. Many of us have either hosted or attended Harry Potter themed parties. And those parties are always awesome! Drinking butterbeer and playing Quidditch never gets old. But if you’d like to have a new twist to your kitty party then you can host Harry Potter theme kitty party involving lots of fun and games.
Party Stuff has made some of the game ideas for this theme kitty party. Check out some of the game ideas given below and for more details you can visit https://partystuff.in/games/theme/harrypotter.
1. Chocolate Frog Hunt: This is exactly the same as an Easter egg hunt, but instead of eggs, use Chocolate frogs – the players will use the cauldron to collect the frogs.
2. Quidditch - Assign a ‘goalie’ to protect three hoops, two beaters who will have a badminton racket each and will try and knock a ‘shuttle cock’ through the hoops. Have two players designated as ‘seekers’ – paint one shuttle-cock gold and occasionally throw it into the air – if one of the seekers catches the gold shuttle cock then the game is over. The rest of the team will simply throw water balloons at the team members each other etc.
3. Jelly Bean Sort: Get several bags of different colored ‘every flavor’ beans – mix them together in a large cauldron for each team – the first team to sort them into the separate colors wins.
4. Pin the beard on Hagrid: Yep – same as pin the tail on the donkey, but use a large picture of Hagrid and a beard. Blindfold the players and ask them to pin the beard on Hagrid in one minute. The player who will be able to pin the beard closest is the winner.
5. Muggle Quidditch - Provide each player with a broomstick. Divide the group of players into two teams, each having their own goal and lots of room to play. Each team tries to sweep the golden snitch (a ping-pong ball possibly spray painted gold) into the other team’s goal.
6. Casting Spells - The game is similar to a water balloon fight. There are a bunch of water balloons that have a spell written on them. The player must read the spell and then recite it to the rest of the group before throwing it. They must only throw to the waist or below, not above.
7. Pin The Scar On Harry Or Pin The Tail On Scrabbers - Print out or draw a picture of Harry’s Head or Scabbers body. Then, use sticker paper to print out or draw lightning bolts or rat tails. Pin the pictures to a wall. Blindfold each guest and give them the sticker and let them try to stick the sticker to the picture. The person who gets the closest to the correct spot wins.
8. Chamber Of Secrets - This is a game of tag, where you choose one player to be the monster. Once the monster touches another player (the witches and wizards) he petrifies them and they must freeze. Petrified players can be freed by the Un-petrified (unfrozen) players when tagged by them. Once a player is frozen three times, they then remain permanently petrified. The last player to avoid being petrified wins.
I hope you will like to try the above games for your Harry Potter theme kitty party!
