Food Ideas For Horror Kitty Party

If you want to go all-out and make really grotesque, scary food, you can create eyeballs by putting black olives into the centre of balls of mozzarella. Tear hot-dogs in two so you have jagged edges and dip the edges into ketchup for severed fingers. If you wanted to have a bowl of guts, you could cook up some long spaghetti and drench it in a blood-red tomato sauce. If you're quite artistic, you could make cookies with horror-themed fondant decorations or cupcakes with severed fingers made of fondant sticking out of the icing.

Personally, i prefer to keep the horror elements out of the catering and go for a more subtle food which is appealing to eat but fits with the overall theme of the party. How about Texas Chainsaw barbecue or Children of the Corn Chips with Insidious Salsa. This is just regular corn chips served with a spicy salsa that gives an unexpected kick. You could make pigs in blankets and sandwiches and call it Freddy's Finger Food.

For something sweet you could have bloody red velvet cupcakes or raise the devil food cakes. Drinks could include Blood Red Sangria or Black Widows. How about Jason's Jell-o shots made with red jelly and vodka? These would be really simple to make and you could add a little red coloring to make them look extra bloody. Let your imagination run wild and create food your guests will love.
