How to Trust?
When buying online thought comes whether one can trust this site, app or web seller. Look out for some basic points while dealing online. For genuine sellers all points might not always be applicable as it depends on nature of business, size of business. Take your call based on your judgement. See which points are applicable for the business you are dealing with and after verifying which all points you are satisfied.
- how old is the website
- how old is the contact number mentioned on site
- since how long contact number is being used in UPI apps (some apps like Google Pay show it)
- does site have contact us page
- is site searchable on Google
- is contact number searchable on Google
- are products real or they are fake or copies
- is online seller agreeing to every request? some examples could be: can you deliver today?, can you deliver tomorrow?, can you do it very fast? can you customise this way (a difficult requirement)? can you give huge discount (50-80%); Genuine seller won't be able to do everything, everytime whereas in case of fake seller everything can be done
- does it have active genuine social profiles (check how old content is on facebook page, instagram, youtube, pinterest etc.)
- does it sells on online marketplaces like amazon, flipkart, meesho etc.
- is brand registered
- does it has visting card (this can be easily created by everyone)
- does it have a physical address (originial image of business premesis with board)
- photo/video of stock inventory
- is it tax registered and filing taxes like GST (many small businesses might not be registered)
